Call For Art!

April 14, 2022 @ 10:00 am - May 27, 2022 @ 4:00 pm

The Board of Directors at the Northeast Louisiana Delta African American Heritage Museum is planning an art festival for our 2022 Juneteenth celebration. The theme is “Juneteenth 2022: Free and Empowered”. The festival’s focus will be on the region’s young and not so young, lesser known and unknown artists. We are inviting all lesser-known artists to showcase their talent; however, participants must enter their work to be considered. There are four categories for entry: elementary, jr. high, high school, and adult. All eligible submissions must be received by Friday, May 27, 2022, at 4pm and brought to 1051 Chennault Park Drive, Monroe, LA. 71203. Participant’s artwork will be displayed at the museum from June 1, 2022, to June 30, 2022, regardless of whether an artist place or not. The public will be able to view the submissions on Tuesdays through Fridays from 10am to 4pm and Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. Awards will be given in all categories. The public will determine winners of the public choice awards by a vote through ballots purchased for $1.00 each (one vote per ballot). For more information, please contact the museum at 318-342-8889. You may stop by the museum to pick up a registration form.
