Joyce L. Powell retired teacher and Librarian from the Monroe City School System and is currently Branch Manager at the Carver-McDonald Branch Library. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading, going to movies, traveling, internet research, singing in the choir, and most cherished, her service to the Lord, working with her community outreach groups. She is President of the NELA Delta African American Heritage Museum.
